Electrified Profiles
The line designed for the production of electrified profiles is meant for special combined co-extrusion of copper wire and rigid Pvc.
Made according to specific modular characteristics, these profiles are used in the electrical wiring of Industrial Buildings, allowing to drastically reduce the execution and installation times.
The special joints and interfaces of the various profiles required the realization of special automated units, with uninterrupted milling, cutting, heading and shearing operations and a dedicated software
Specifically, the complete line consists of the following Units: 1 copper wire unwinding group, 1 wires straightening group, 1 wires knurling group, 1 copper wire heating group, 1 square-head extruder, 1 calibration table, 1 haul off with shaped plugs, 1 unit with 3 automated work stations, 1 profiles unloading haul off.
PROCESS DESCRIPTION:
The 4 copper coils are contemporarily unwound and fed to the wires straightening group.
Guiding rollers position the 4 copper wires horizontally and side-by-side.
When they are straight, wires enter the knurling group where cuts are performed on the sides of each profile to provide a better grip for the extruded Pvc.
A heating oven placed longitudinally to the extrusion axle brings the copper temperature to optimal levels before it enters the die.
The extruder now covers the copper wires inside the die and the profile enters the calibrators and consequently the cooling basins.
A haul off with shaped plugs moves the profile till it enter the 3-stationed unit.
The first station is equipped with electromandrels and performs a pocket milling on the upper and lower sides of the profile.
The second station performs a precision shaped shearing inside the copper wires.
The third station shears the copper wires to measure and contemporarily prepares the end cut for rapid installation.
The different work processes and all the Line Units are software-controlled.
